From the very beginning, life tried to write me off. Abandonment, instability, and circumstances that should have ended everything, none of it was able to finish me. Through every dark season, God was working. And when I finally stopped running and opened the door, He met me there. The peace I found on the other side of that surrender became the foundation I had been searching for my entire life.
Today I am a coach, a servant, a husband and father, daily choosing God over everything that once tried to destroy me. I don't come from a textbook. I come from the trenches. That lived experience, grounded in psychology, theology, and structured discipline, is what I bring to every coaching relationship. I don't just point people toward their potential in God. I walk there with them, because I know the road.
God does not waste a single piece of your story. He has a purpose for your life that is bigger than your past and more powerful than anything that has tried to hold you back. Like Job, I lost everything, kept hoping, and watched God reveal Himself in the most unexpected ways. That same God is not finished with you either. Your fight is not the end of your story.

The Man Behind the Mission
Jefferson Edmond Roberts is the founder of Courage Christian Life Coaching and author of the Your Fight Is Your Blessing workbook series. He holds a degree in Psychology from John Brown University and is a Certified Mental Health First Responder, Certified Neuroplasticity Coach, Certified Christian Brain Health and Neuroscience Coach, and Certified Mental Health Coach.
For the past seven years, he has worked professionally in addiction and behavioral health, walking alongside people through relapse, shame, rock bottom, and the slow, real work of getting back up. That experience forged his conviction: lasting change happens when clinical care and biblical truth work together — and both find their power in Jesus Christ.
